At Ingram Road we fully appreciate the importance of a high quality PE curriculum. We use Real PE to provide a unique, child-centred approach that transforms how we teach PE to engage and challenge EVERY child in primary school.
It provides fun and simple to follow Primary PE Schemes of Work and support for Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 practitioners that give them the confidence and skills to deliver outstanding PE. It is fully aligned to the National Curriculum and Ofsted requirements and focuses on the development of agility, balance and coordination, healthy competition and cooperative learning through a unique and market leading approach to teaching and learning in PE.
Ingram Road work in Partnership with Cockburn John Charles Academy (JESS Cluster) and Active Schools Leeds to provide competitive sports opportunities for children across school including:
Ingram Road also provides opportunities for competition through intra-school events such as Sports Days and Dance events lead and organised by school Sports Leaders and other partners who assist with after school and extra-curricular sporting activities.
School Sport Funding is money that is provided by the government to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of Physical Education, sport and physical activity within schools. Schools receive PE and Sport Premium Funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6.
At Ingram Road the funding we attract is based on the data from the January school census.

Our consistent approach to ensuring we continually improve our PE & Sport provision has been acknowledged through the School Games Awards, for which we have achieved the Gold award for the past 5 years consecutively and hoping for Platinum!
This is testament to the continual analysis and planning of the PE & Sport provision within school and it's extra curricular sporting activities. We strive to ensure all children at Ingram Road can access a wide range of stimulating physical activity for at least 30 minutes every day during the school day, with our intention to increase participation to an hour every day.
