4th November 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
This letter is intended to help parents to understand what will be required of them and their children as we enter the SECOND PHASE OF LOCKDOWN ON THURSDAY 5TH NOVEMBER (tomorrow).
Please take your time to read through to understand how you can help to keep your child, you and your family and our whole school community safe.
Entry to, and Collection from School
Any child, or member of staff, or visitor who have Coronavirus symptoms should not come to school. Get a test and isolate, follow Government Guidelines.
If your child is not attending school for any reason you must contact school by 9am - on EVERY DAY that they absent to provide a valid reason. (ie they are ill), please appreciate that we have to be extra vigilant to ensure that we can close bubbles in school if your child has contracted Covid-19).
Failure to attend:
Please note that from the end of September 2020, children who are of compulsory school age (5-11 in primary Schools) are legally required to attend school. Our attendance target is 96%, children who drop below this target will be visited by the Attendance Improvement Officer from Leeds City Council.
Fines and possible prosecution through the courts will be issued if you fail to bring your child to school.

The Government have produced information about the national restrictions from 5th November and what it means for you and your family.
Please can I respectfully request that you follow these guidelines to keep everyone in our school community as safe as possible. It can be extremely stressful for our staff when parents do not follow our requests. We aim to ensure that we can get the children in and out of school as quickly and as efficiently as possible, and in the safest way for everyone. Failure to assist, may result in action being taken by the police.
Please be kind to each other during these uncertain times.
Yours faithfully
Miss S Millard
