Believe, Achieve, Succeed... Growing together.

General Overview

As part of a broad and balanced curriculum, every primary school is required to provide Relationship and Health Education under Government Guidance (2019) which outlines statutory learning outcomes for all primary-aged pupils for September 2020, which has been delayed until April 2021.

We will ensure that this sensitive subject is delivered in an appropriate, thoughtful manner.  Staff delivering this topic have had extensive training to ensure its’ delivery is such.

Please be aware that the lesson content is compulsory for your child to learn (the Government say we have to teach this) and will provide the opportunity for the children to learn about how their own bodies change as they grow up. This includes some very basic (biology) lessons about knowing body parts in boys and girls.

Please read our Relationship and Health Policy.

If you have any concerns about the planned lessons please contact Mrs Sergeant, RHE Coordinator, below, who will be happy to arrange some time to discuss this with you.
