How are the classes organised?
Ingram Road Primary School provides for the education of the children from nursery stage to the age of eleven. The nursery class is part of the Foundation Unit taking in 26 part-time children on both the morning and afternoon sessions.
School is organised into the following way;
Foundation Stage –
Nursery – Cherry (am Nursery class) & Apple (pm Nursery class)
2 Reception classes – Elderberry and Holly
KS1 (Years 1 and 2) –
Willow Class, Beech Class and Cedar Class
Lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4) –
Elm Class, Maple Class and Hazel Class
Upper KS2 (Years 5 and 6) –
Ash Class, Oak Class and Sycamore Class
It is the policy of Ingram Road Primary School that every child has equality of opportunity to participate in every aspect of the curriculum regardless of race, ability or gender.
Each class has a teacher who is responsible for the organisation, planning of work programmes and the monitoring and assessment of progress of the children in that class.
Special Needs Teaching Assistants, Nursery Nurses and Teaching Assistants support all classes. We share our expertise and skills to give maximum benefit to the children in our school.
Each subject area is carefully planned and resourced. Delivery and achievement is carefully monitored across the school. Target setting for individual pupils as well as for year groups and the whole school support this.
What time does the school day start and finish?
Morning session 8.45am. – 11.45am.
Afternoon session 12.15pm. – 3.15pm.
Block sessions (all day) are available upon request.
Key Stage 1 :
9.00am – 11.50am and in the afternoon 1.00pm – 3.15pm
Key Stage 2 :
9.00am – 12.00pm and in the afternoon 1.00pm – 3.15pm
