Foundation Stage (Nursery & Reception Classes)
We were really pleased to see the beautiful daffodils that have flowered in our outdoor area over the two weeks. The children are excited about caring for them and having a go at drawing them.
This term our Foundation Stage Tuesday trips will be to Middleton Woods and Tropical World where children will learn about different animals and the world around them.
The Reception children’s reading is really coming along and it is fantastic to see that so many of them are reading at home too. As lots of the Reception children are interested in Super-heroes at the moment we have begun a Superhero project.
The Nursery children are showing a particular interest in dinosaurs and so we have started a project about this topic after some lovely work around fish and birds last term.
We have a fantastic new Movement Area in the Reception classroom and children in Nursery as well as Reception are enjoying exploring and playing with all the resources in it. All the movement and play they do in this area will help with their fine and gross motor skills and coordination. Also here’s our new book area!
